Focus on inguinal hernia / Abdominal wall hernia

Most hernias require an operation. Without an operation its size and the risk of a complication will increase. Due to new techniques the operation is less painful and stressful. I recommend implanting an artificial net, in order to close the defect efficiently and thereby minimizing the relapse rate.

During your consultation I will take my time to explain the different techniques and methods to you. An inguinal hernia can be repaired in full, regional or local anaesthesia. Most of my patients can leave the hospital the following day. To assure a perfect healing I recommend to avoid physical activities for at least three weeks.
