Proctoscopy – rectal examination

This painless examination takes just a minute and allows a direct inspection of the last 15 cm of the rectum, as well as the evaluation of the function or dysfunction of the pelvic floor.

A laxative suppository is the only needed preparation, so you can eat and drink before as usual. As the examination is painless, no sedation is necessary.
